“Why Are The Jews Hated”

Matthew 24:9  “You will be hated by all nations for My sake”

1. The origins of this hatred goes back to Genesis 3:15:

“I will put enmity between you (the serpent) and the woman and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head and you shall bruise His heel.”

Satan knew that since the promised Seed would be seed of the woman He would be born of a woman. The only way he could escape destruction was to destroy the line through which He would come.

2. As soon as Satan knew that Abel was in that line he used Cain to kill him. (Genesis 4)

3. When it was revealed that the Seed would come though Judah (Genesis 49:8-10) and then David (1 Samuel16:12), Satan tried to use Saul to kill David before he had sons. (1 Samuel 18:11; 19:1)’

4. Satan tried to use Haman to destroy all the Jews in the Persian Empire. (Ester 3:6,12-14).

5. Satan knows that when Christ returns he will be “cast into the bottomless pit (Revelation 19:2). He also knows that He will return after the Jews have returned to their land (Matthew 24:16 “Let those in Judea flee to the mountains”). If he can destroy the Jews, or at least keep them from occupying their land, the promises of the return of Christ cannot be fulfilled. This is what motivated Hitler to try to destroy the Jews. Satan was using him just as he had used Haman.

Today the hatred of the Jews is just as irrational as Cain’s, Haman’s and Hitler’s. It is inspired by the same evil one for the same purpose. The saddest thing about the situation today is that Satan is using sincere but deceived Christian leaders to contribute to the opposition.
