“Christian Warfare On Three Fronts”

1. The world.

a. The world’s people, systems and institutions are under Satan’s

dominion.

Genesis 1:26 -28 “Let Us make man in Our image..let them have

dominion over..all the earth”

Matthew 4:8 “Again the devil took Him up on an exceeding high

mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world...And he

said to Him, ‘All these things I will give You if You will fall down

and worship me.”

John 14:31 “I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming and he has nothing in Me.”

2 Corinthians 4:4 “whose minds the god of this age has blinded”

Ephesians 2:2 “you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince and power of the air”

b. Opposition from the world is caused by:

1) Our relationship with Christ.

John 15:18-19 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you...I chose you out of the world, therefore the

world hates you.”

Colossians 1:13 “He has delivered us from the power of darkness

and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.”

2) The message of the cross.

Galatians 5:11 “the offence of the cross”

c. Satan seeks to pull us back into the course of this world.

Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be

transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what

is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
