Matthew 24:3-8

- “All these things must come to pass”
- “All these are the beginning of sorrows (pangs)”
- “See that you are not troubled (throeo, terrified out of your wits)”.John 14:1; 27
2. The lifestyle of those living at the close of this age.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 “In the last days perilous times will come, for men will be:
- “Lovers of themselves (philautoi)”
- “Lovers of money (philarguroi)”
- “Disobedient to parents (apeitheis, unable to be reasoned with)
- “Unthankful (acharistoi)”
- “Unholy (anosoi)”
- “Without natural affection (astorgoi, without family affection)”
- “Trucebreakers (aspondoi, unwilling to make a truce, unforgiving)”
- “Without selfcontrol (akrateis, no constraint)”
- “Fierce (anemeroi, not tame, savage, brutal)”
- “Despisers of good (aphilagathoi, no love for what is good)”
- “Lovers of pleasure (philedonoi) rather than lovers of God (philotheoi)”
- “Having a form of godliness but denying its power”. (Romans 1:16)
- “From such people turn away!”
3. Keeping our sanity:
a. Make sure that our citizenship is in heaven! (Philippians 3:20)
b. Commit everything we are anxious about to God! (Philippians 4:6-7; John 14:27; Psalm 112:7). “the peace of God will ...guard our hearts and minds!!!
