“Satan’s Methods of Destruction”

1 Peter 5:8-9 “..the devil walks about seeking whom he may devour.”

A. Those who are lost:

1. He incites them to destructive sins.

John 8:44 “..the desires of your father you want to do.”

James 1:13-15 “..sin when it is full grown brings forth death.”

2. He blinds their minds to the gospel.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 “..whose minds the god of this age has blinded”

Acts 26:18 “..to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to

light..”

3. He takes advantage of those who try to “clean up their act” without

turning to Christ.

Luke 11:24-26 “.. The last state of that man is worse than the first.”

B. Those who are saved:

1. He corrupts their minds.

2 Corinthians 11:3 “..as the serpent deceive Eve..so your minds may be corrupted frm the simplicity that is in Christ.”

2. He gives false wisdom.

James 3:13-17 “This wisdom...is earthly, sensual, demonic,”
