The real reason for the season

A. Galatians 4:4-7

"God sent forth His Son, born of a woman" (4:4)

"to redeem (pay the price for) those who were under the law" (4:5)

B. Hebrews 2:9-18

1. "that He by the grace of God might taste death for everyone" (2:9)

"that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil". (2:14)

"and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage". (2:15)

2. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted". (2:18)
