"All our righteousnesses are like filthy rags" (Isaiah 64:6).
The people of Israel who conquered the land were only one generation from slavery. God blessed them and gave them great power and wealth under Solomon. But in their material prosperity they became spiritually destitute and were taken to Babylon as captives. Most of the people who came to America were poor. Many came as bond servants and many came from debtor prisons. God has blessed and given America great wealth and power but we are becoming spiritually destitute; and there are indications that we may soon decline in wealth and power.

"But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ...
for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish that I might gain Christ" (Philippians 3:7-8).
The Apostle Paul was willing to lose his heritage, his wealth, his career and his freedom "for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord".
Ephesians 1:15-18 "that you may know what is the hope of His calling what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints"
1 Peter 1:3-5 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has begotten us again...to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you".
No matter what happens our future is secure!
