I. The Foundation:
1 Corinthians 3:10-15 "which is Jesus Christ".
Ephesians 2:19-22 "Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone".
2 Timothy 2:19 "the solid foundation stands".
II. The seal:
2 Timothy 2:19 "having this seal".
A. "The Lord knows those who are His"
1 Kings 19:9-18 "Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel".
B. "And, let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity".
Some who are His don't always act like it.
1. "Brethren" who are "carnal" (controlled by the old nature), (1 Corinthians 3:1-3)
a. "Righteous" Lot, (2 Peter 2:7-8).
b. Peter, (Matthew 26:69-75).
2. Christians in Corinth who were sick and died prematurely, (I Corinthians 11:30-32; 1 John 5:16-17).
III. The Lord also knows those who are not His.
Matthew 7:21-23 "And then will I declare unto them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me'".
